The contingent

In accordance with the Organic Law 4/2000 (article 39), January 11, Government approves the anual contingent of foreign workers, agreed by the Council of Ministers.

The contingent of foreign workers make possible the programmed hiring of foreign persons who are not living in Spain, to develop stable jobs. They will be chosen through offers sent to companies, following special procedures.

The agreement of the Council of Ministers establishes the requirements to process the offers.

The 12th January 2008 the BOE published the resolution of 26th December 2007, of the Secretary of State for Immigration and Emigration, establishes the publication of the agreement of the Council of Ministers, 21st December and regulates the contingent of foreign workers of non-EC regime in Spain (2008).
