Subsidies for surplus workers in the textile and garment making sector

The SOC is opening this line of subsidies to assist in the occupational integration of workers who are surplus to the textile and garment making sector as a result of the structural changes in world trade and are having special difficulty in finding work.
Types of subsidies
Each type of subsidy has a specific period of presentation of applications which can be found in its defining file.
- Subsidies during the jobseeking process
- Subsidies to provide geographic mobility
- Subsidies to help in occupational integration of workers born on or before the 25th of January 1956
- Special subsidies for workers born between the 15th of June 1947 and the 1st of June 1952
- Subsidies for promoting self-employed work
Beneficiaries
Workers that are surplus to companies from the textile and garment making sector that fulfil the requisites specified in Article 5 of Resolution TRE/3499/2008, of the 5th of November.
