Forma i Contracta Programme (Train and Hire)

Official notification for 2008

The Catalan Employment Service is offering, through the Forma i Contracta programme (Train and Hire), funding subsidies for companies who need to take on workers immediately. The funding is for training people who are unemployed, with the commitment from the company to contract a minimum of 60% of these people. The contract must be for six months duration from that time on and registration with the Social Security system must be made before two months.

Beneficiaries

The following may benefit from this programme: business organisations, cooperatives and limited companies or training bodies linked to professional organisations, companies or trade unions. The training actions may start immediately on the signing of the collaboration agreement and until the end of the period covered, October 2008.

Target groups

Unemployed jobseekers registered with the Catalan Employment Service before the beginning of the training action.

The SOC will encourage the participation of students who have greater difficulty in entering into the labour market and will also encourage equal opportunities.

Training action period

The training action subsidised will end on June 30 2009 at the latest.

Funding

This subsidy receives co-funding from the European Social Fund.

Regulation

• Resolution TRE/541/2008, of the 22 February, through which the official announcement is made of subsidies for the Forma i Contracta programme (Train and Hire) for undertaking training actions with the commitment to contract, addressed to workers who are unemployed in 2008.
