The Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC) promotes the awarding of subsidies to do professional training actions for employment related to sectors considered emerging and priority from the socioeconomic perspective of the region.
These actions aim to provide workers with the professional skills required to carry out a job and to encourage new occupations related to the emerging sectors. With this in mind, two lines of action can be distinguished:
Line 1: collaborating centres that have the certified specialities before the issuing of the official notification, at a specific address.
Line 2: entities that are registered in the census as collaborating centres of the SOC.
Unemployed jobseekers registered in the Catalan Employment Service before the beginning of the training action.
Budget set aside for the official subsidies: 53.000.000 euros
Co-funded by the European Social Fund
Resolution TRE/555/2008, of the 26 February, which regulates and officially notifies the subsidies for 2008 and 2009 for training actions in priority and emerging sectors, aimed at unemployed workers, with the aim of providing them with the professional skills required to carry out a job.
