Role playing

This kind of test is very used by the companies.

In this kind of exercises several applicants meet and they are observed by the technical staff. They will analyze the behaviour of each person during the meeting.

Sometimes they can simulate a situation, but they can also pose dilemmas or even moral questions.

They analyze the leadership ability, the defence of idees, the ability to dialogue, convincing ability, verbal expression, arguments...

Recommendations for participants

  • Be natural.
  • Take part in the dialogue in an active way.
  • Be polite.
  • Don't be aggressive.
  • Don't persist in your ideas.
  • Be considerate with the other persons.
  • Try to advance with the group, not alone.
  • Pay attention to the writing material.
  • Listen to the other persons with attention.
  • Bring solutions.

When the session starts, there is a silence and this silence produces strain. You can end the silence in a natural way with expressions like: "Well, we could start... "
This situation shows that you are a resolute person and you know what to do in a new situation.

If there is a confused environment, it's necessary that someone establishes a work methodology saying: "One moment, I think that in order to express all our opinion..."

Invite to participate the most quiet persons: "(Name) What do you think about it" "

There aren't good and bad profiles. It depends on the personal characteristics required in a job.
