How to write your curriculum

Basic rules to write a good curriculum. They can help you:

  • Don’t write expressions like "My function as Maintenance Supervisor were..." WRITE "Maintenance Supervisor. Functions ..."
  • Don’t write "There was a maintenance plan. I developed this plan" WRITE "Development and implementation Maintentance Plan"
  • Avoid redundant expressions. Example: DON’T WRITE "I want to tell you..."
  • Use short expressions.
  • Your curriculum must reflect that you fulfill the job requirements.

Other aspects

  • Use a good quality paper.
  • Use wide margins and different sections.
  • Adapt the cv to each job.
  • Be concise.
  • Give a cover letter attached to the cv.
  • Point out your telephone numbers to contact you.
  • Point out your abilities according to the job offer.
  • Don’t write CURRICULUM VITAE at the top.
  • Don’t add your photo, if they don’t ask for.
  • Don’t write your marital state and your age, if they don’t ask for
  • Don’t mention all the schools where you have studied.
  • Don’t mention all the training courses you have done. Point out only important training courses.
  • Don’t comment hobbies, if they are not related to the job.
  • Don’t mention your academic record, if they don’t ask for.
  • Don’t talk about other persons.
  • It’s not necessary to sign the cv.
