Occupational training
The workshop schools (escoles taller, ET), the vocational centres (cases d'oficis, CO) and occupational training courses (tallers d'ocupació, TO) are public occupational programmes created to offer training to unemployed people. All these services make the work placement easier.
The projects are related with the cultural heritage recovering, the environment, the public attention, etc. (6-12 months long,CO and TO; 12- 24 months, ET i UPD (Unitats de Promoció i Desenvolupament, Promotion and Development Units). The UPD projects are related to the ET, CO and TO. The aim is to prospect jobs.
The promoting organizations of ET/CO/TO projects are: city councils, foundations and nonprofit organizations. For UPD, the organizations must be in a supraterritorial space, consortiums, etc.
Young peolpe (under 25 years old) are the beneficiaries of the ET/CO. The TO beneficiaries are unemployed people (over 25 years or older), all registered at the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya. The UPD require technicians.
